In addition to being the honorary medical officer at government Wenlock hospital, Mangalore, he has been involved in training undergraduates and postgraduates at Kasturba medical college for the last 30 years. He has several publications in cardiology.

         Dr. K. Mukund-is well known in the academic and medical circles. He has implanted pacemakers for several poor patients at Wenlock hospital, free of cost. An emicable person,he is ready to help anyone in need.

         He founded the Omega charitable trust and heart foundation in 2003. Under this, he provides free cardiac treatment to the underprivileged. His endeavor is to do his best to the society.

Dr.A.G.Jayakrishnan is the chief Cardiac vascular and thoracic surgeon at Omega Hospitals(P)Ltd.,Mangalore. He is a Director of Mangalore Heart Scan Foundation,is the visiting consultant cardiothoracic surgeon at Nawalokahospital,Colombo,Srilanka .He passed MS in 1980 at Kasturba Medical College,Manipal and FRCSI in 1986 at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

        He has very wide and extensive experience in open Heart surgery,CABG(Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting),Valve repair/replacementSurgery & surgical repair of birth defects.

      The Cardiac Surgery unit headed by Dr.Jayakrishnan has performed over 12,000 coronary Artery Bypass Surgeries.He has several publications and presentations to his credit.

Dr H Prabhakar, MD. DM., senior consultant interventional cardiologist, completed his MBBS and MD from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) , Hubli. He did his DM (cardiology) from Asia's largest cardiac hospital, Sri Jayadeva Institute Of Cardiology (SJIC), Bangalore. He had undergone extensive training in interventional cardiology in SJIC under eminent cardiologists. Dr.H.Prabhakar later underwent a training course in Paediatric Cardiology under tutelage of Dr.Krishnakumar, a prolific paediatric cardiologist of India. As a resident in cardiology , he has presented number of scientific paper in National conference. He has extensively traveled and visited many cardiac hospitals. He started his career as an interventional cardiologist in Mangalore since 2000. He is the pioneer in interventional cardiology in Mangalore and is expert in interventional procedures.

      He has been associated with more than 5000 cardiac angiogram & angioplasty in Mangalore . Presently he is the chief interventional cardiologist & Head of Department of cardiology in Fr.Mullers medical College, Manglore. He has been conducting many free cardiac camp all over the South Kanara , Udupi, Kasargod dist & Karwar district.
